Katie Abercrombie (Weekly Dog Walker)

My name is Katie and I am a Certified Professional Pet Care Specialist with Fur Baby Comfort & Care, a professional pet sitting business that prides itself on providing peace of mind to Fur Baby owners. I am an owner of a small business… that is, a small “business” of ferrets! Over the last six years, I have had my heart stolen and stashed by nine furry noodles. They are constant balls of energy that keep me on my toes, and I adore them more than anything! I am also happily owned by two sassy cats who love nothing more than to snuggle with mom and devour a good lick treat every now and then. My pet care experience is vast and covers a range of beloved pets, from reptiles and small animals to dogs and cats. Before my time with Fur Baby Comfort & Care, I had been caring for my friends and family’s pets for over ten years. I have now been with Fur Baby for almost three years, and it has been a joy to meet so many new furry and scaled friends. When caring for others Fur Babies, I bring to the table what is needed to keep each pet happy. I’ll spend hours playing tug with the energetic puppy, walking miles with the dog that loves to sniff, or just relaxing with the elderly pet that wants some extra attention. I am especially well versed in caring for elderly pets and have a long history of successful medication administration. A few of my own furry kids suffer from cancer and seizure disorders so I know just how important it is to make sure they are cared for properly. I am a lover of books and adore a good story! Because of this, I always strive to provide my clients with detailed “storytelling” styled updates about the adventures their Fur Babies have been having while we are together! I have been told by clients that I should write children’s books about pets based on the updates I send and that is the highest compliment! I am excited for the opportunity to meet your beloved four legged family members and can’t wait to make a new best friend along the way!
