Kayla Ridgway (Weekly Dog Walker)

My name is Kayla and I am a Certified Professional Pet Care Specialist with Fur Baby Comfort & Care, a professional pet sitting business that prides itself on providing peace of mind to Fur Baby owners. I am currently the pawrent of 2 dogs and 1 cat. Coca and Redman (dogs) are my sweet couch potatoes. They’ve started slowing down now that they’re older, but they still love walks and Coca LOVES playing fetch. Tink (cat) has tons of personality and loves to roll in a sprinkle of catnip! I have almost 15 years of pet care experience, with a range of focuses: vet/kennel setting, daycare/boarding facility with multiple dog groups, overnight vacation care, an internship at Binder Park Zoo focusing in (exotic) animal care, as well as walking dogs in my free time and as part of my career. Although I already have 2 Associates Degrees, I keep my mind open to the possibility of new and changing information in pet care. I love to learn and am not afraid to replace any outdated knowledge I may have. I’ve been interested in animal behavior for as long as I can remember. I would watch animal documentaries constantly growing up; Animal Planet was a staple in my education. As an adult, I still enjoy animal and nature documentaries. I’ve even taken up birdwatching, as well as bug hunting in my garden. I strive to build a real connection with you and your pets. I pack my updates with as much personality as possible, including photos with thoughtful posing to show off your pet’s personality. I find so much joy in spending time with animal. What some may consider spoiled, I consider well cared for! I’m more than happy to go the extra mile for that puppy smile!
My own dogs can be troublemakers occasionally, Coca specifically requires a lot of attention in most areas. So I understand that patience and consistency are crucial. I’m also not afraid to get my hands dirty, especially if it’s for the well-being of your animals! I like to keep communication as open as possible, no detail is too much or too little. Everything helps me get to know you, your pet  and your routine, as well as what your pets are used to beyond just basic needs.
